Vehicle Owners Warned Against Misusing Temporary Registration Permits
The Sierra Leone Roads Safety Authority has cautioned vehicle owners against transferring Temporary Vehicle Registrations (TVRs) issued at points of entry to other vehicles.
According to the authority, this practice violates existing regulations. A TVR is valid for only one month and is assigned to a specific vehicle. It cannot be reused or transferred, even if the original owner registers their vehicle before the permit expires.
Vehicle owners are reminded to complete the full registration process before the TVR’s expiration date. Any vehicle found in violation of this rule will be impounded and will not be released until it is properly registered.
