
National Pentecostal Mission Mourns Tragic Loss of Two Nursery Pupils
The National Pentecostal Mission has confirmed the heartbreaking deaths of two nursery pupils at their pre-school in Freetown.
The tragic incident, which occurred on March 18, 2025, has prompted an official investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Sierra Leone Police.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Bishop, the Mission expressed deep sorrow, calling the loss a devastating shock to their church community. “Our hearts are heavy as we mourn this unimaginable tragedy,” the statement read.
The church assured the public of full cooperation with authorities to ensure a thorough and just investigation. They also urged members of the congregation and the wider community to remain calm, avoid speculation, and allow law enforcement to carry out their work.
“We encourage everyone to refrain from social media discussions that could spread misinformation. Let us stand together in prayer and patience as we seek clarity and justice,” the statement added.
The National Pentecostal Mission extended their deepest condolences to the bereaved families, offering support and prayers during this difficult time.
Meanwhile, the CID continues its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, with further updates expected in due course.
