Kamboi Eagles Chairman Steps Down, Endorses Vice Chairman as Successor

Hon. Alusine Kanneh has officially stepped down from his role as Chairman of Kamboi Eagles Football Club, with his resignation taking effect on August 13, 2025.

In a letter to club member Pa Joseph S. Keifala, Hon. Kanneh explained that the decision followed “much consideration and reflection,” adding that the time had come for new leadership to bring “fresh perspectives” to the club’s future.

Looking back on his tenure, he expressed pride in the progress made on and off the pitch, while thanking the players, staff, and supporters for their passion and commitment. “Together, we have achieved great success… however, I believe it is now time for fresh leadership to take the club to the next level,” he noted.

As part of the transition, Hon. Kanneh recommended Vice Chairman Alhaji Idris Kamara as his successor, describing him as “an integral part of the leadership team” who has shown dedication to the Eagles. He also pledged to work closely with Kamara to ensure a smooth handover.

In closing, Hon. Kanneh expressed deep gratitude to the entire Kamboi Eagles family for their support and extended his best wishes for the continued success of the club.
