SLFA President Brima Represents Sierra Leone at FIFA Club World Cup Finals

Thomas Daddy Brima, President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), recently attended the grand finale of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

The championship match, hosted at the prestigious MetLife Stadium, featured an intense showdown between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), drawing global attention to the culmination of one of football’s most celebrated tournaments.

Before the final whistle, President Brima took part in the official closing dinner, joining FIFA President Gianni Infantino and other senior football leaders. Their discussions focused on the future of global football and potential areas for international collaboration.

This year’s Club World Cup brought together 32 elite clubs from around the world—including Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and PSG—across 12 stadiums in 11 cities. It showcased the highest level of club football and highlighted the growing importance of global sports diplomacy.

President Brima’s presence not only elevated Sierra Leone’s visibility on the international football scene but also underscored the country’s commitment to building stronger ties with the global football community. His participation reflects the SLFA’s dedication to advancing the sport both at home and abroad.
