Premier League Clubs Warn of Boycott Ahead of League Resumption

Premier League clubs in Sierra Leone have threatened to boycott the second leg of the 2024/2025 Leone Rock Premier League if several outstanding issues are not resolved before the scheduled restart on Friday, May 9, 2025.

In a formal statement sent to football authorities, the Union of Premier League Clubs listed key demands that must be addressed for their continued participation. These include the immediate payment of prize money owed to the 2023/2024 season's champions and runners-up, and the disbursement of subsidy funds to all participating clubs.

The clubs are also calling for decisions on all pending protests and appeals to be made public before the league resumes. Additionally, they insist that every registered player must have a printed FIFA ID Licensed Card before taking part in the second leg.

The Union urged the relevant football bodies to take these concerns seriously and act swiftly to prevent disruptions to the league’s schedule.
