Information Minister Chernor Bah and Kaodenero Resolve Event Date Clash

Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, has met with Entertainment Ambassador and rapper Kaodenero to resolve a recent disagreement over clashing event dates.

Minister Bah described Kaodenero as a close friend and said their discussion was honest and productive. He explained that the misunderstanding had sparked frustration among the artist’s supporters, but both parties have now reached a mutual agreement that allows their events to go ahead smoothly.

The Civic Festival will still run from December 11 to 13, and the final day of the festival will be devoted to attending Kaodenero’s album launch at Sugar Land Beach. The minister emphasized that their friendship remains strong and that they will continue working together to support the growth of Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry.

The disagreement started after the ministry released the festival dates, which overlapped with Kaodenero’s already planned album launch. The announcement led to mixed reactions online, with some accusing the ministry of ignoring the artist’s schedule while others argued that the Civic Festival follows a fixed annual timeline.
