East End Artists Union Pays Tribute to Late President Master Ripo

The East End Artists Union (EAU) is mourning the death of its president, Master Ripo, also known as Prezo Abubakarr G. Bak Kamara, whose influence left a deep mark on Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry.

A respected leader and cultural advocate, Master Ripo worked tirelessly to unite upcoming and established talents, giving artists from the East End and beyond a stronger platform to showcase their creativity. Under his guidance, the Union became a powerful voice in shaping Sierra Leone’s artistic landscape.

In their tribute, the Union described him as an icon whose dedication and leadership would never be forgotten. Fellow entertainers, fans, and community members have also shared their grief, praising his commitment to uplifting the creative sector and calling his passing a huge loss not only to the East End but to the nation’s arts industry.
