Cricket Sierra Leone Moves to Strengthen Unity and Address Concerns

Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has launched a new effort to tackle concerns and grievances raised within the country’s cricket community. The move follows growing public discussions — both in person and online — about how the sport is being managed and developed.

In acknowledging these voices, CSL said it is committed to listening more closely and working with all key stakeholders to shape a shared vision for the game’s future.

The process will be led by Vice Chairman Kobie Walker, who will oversee meetings with groups such as the Members’ Council, past club leaders, the Ministry of Sports, the National Sports Authority, and the National Olympic Committee.

The organization says formal invitations will be sent out within two weeks, giving stakeholders the chance to share their views directly. The aim is to ensure that different perspectives are included in building a stronger, more united cricket scene in Sierra Leone.

Company Secretary and Legal Adviser Franklyn Remissa Conteh stressed the value of open conversation and teamwork, urging patience and sportsmanship as discussions unfold.

“It’s about working together,” he said. “Only through unity can cricket in Sierra Leone truly thrive.”
